In partnership with Amnesty International, CAG is very excited to bring you The Big Picture: a floor to ceiling mural painted over all three walls of the gallery on a canvas of removable wooden panels. The mural will represent the social issues which are the subject of Amnesty International’s important work (immigrant and refugee rights, women’s rights, indigenous rights, to name a few) and will incorporate the styles of each of the artists, showcasing their uniqueness but also bringing them together in a unified flow.
The artists Glenn Aguilar, Ashley Eansor, Jeff Dywelska and Mihai Radulesc, painted the mural over a seven day period. Each panel of the mural is for sale individually with a portion of the proceeds going to Amnesty International.
Opening night is on Saturday, August 11, 2012 and the show will then be on display for the rest of the month of August.
