Graiul Romanesc – Romanian Beneficial and Cultural Society

Graiul Romanesc – Romanian Beneficial and Cultural Society – was established in 1929 in Windsor, Ontario. We’re involved with presenting annual scholarships, developing a Romanian Library, assisting others, visiting museums, attending concerts, hosting a Martisor Dinner Dance and arranging a variety of social events for our members.

Our yearly programs focus upon things that benefit the Romanian Community and opportunities for us to enjoy our Romanian Heritage.

Graiul Romanesc was formed in order to help Romanians collectively maintain their culture and traditions as they assimilated into life in their new homeland. An affection for their birthplace was encouraged along with a loyalty to Canada.
