Tradicious in partnership with La Blouse Roumaine invite you to the
IA Festival – A Celebration of the Romanian Blouse
Saturday, June 21st, 2014 from noon to 5 pm
Textile Museum of Canada
55 Centre Ave, Toronto
This festival shares a selection of the most delicate and beautiful handmade Romanian blouses.
We wish to discover with you the value IA has in our people’s culture and to integrate it in our lives not only at times of celebration, but in daily life wherever we are in the world.
During the event, public figures, artists of Romanian heritage, and guests will model old and delicate blouses and costumes held in their families for generations.
We invite you to open your “dowry chest” from back home and bring those clothing treasures for all to see and admire.
We are fortunate to be working with the Textile Museum of Canada’s specialists and with passionate collectors like Gabriela Covaci – ROCATeach, Elena Mitroi Nistea, Dumitru Rachitan – ACR Hamilton in organizing this event.
